Objectives

The GHNA is a group of local residents who have joined together to help, where necessary, with all things appertaining to the village.

Initially it was set up to help co-ordinate residents submit planning comments on the application made during lockdown for a 24/7 Logistics facility that was being considered at the Tile Kiln Green end of the village.   We have since assisted in adding a voice to support/object to various planning applications made in the village.

We have held social events at the Village Hall and it has been a good way of bringing the community together.

Anyone can join

It is open to anyone to join, meetings are on an as and when needed basis, and we will offer help wherever possible to villagers on any appropriate matter.

For planning applications in the future, a local residents' voice may be all the more critical as it is understood that the Planning Committee at UDC may lessen the amount of time allowed for members of the public to speak at planning hearings.   If this vote is carried, it may be that GHNA may be called upon to unite views of the villagers as one speaker.
